Organization and Venue

The symposium is organized as eight thematic sessions and within each session, invited speakers and those selected from on-line submissions will illustrate the frontiers of current knowledge and their applications in crops or managed ecological systems (see Program). Speakers are drawn from academia, research organizations, private industry and stakeholder groups. Oral presentations will be short (~20 min), and moderated panel discussions will follow the presentations within each topical session. Poster sessions, associated with each thematic session will be held and ample time will be made available to meet with authors.

All presenters of both posters and papers will be requested to provide a mini-paper of 2-5 pages.   All accepted papers will be reviewed for scientific content and adherence to editorial rules and will be published on-line as the 'Proceedings of the International Plant Nutrition Colloquium" and select papers will be cross listed under the 3rd Plant Sciences Symposium in the on-line repository "California Digital Library".  Articles will remain permanently available free of charge and can be accessed by major search engines.  A select number of papers of highest quality will be published as a special issue in Annals of Botany and Plant and Soil.

This meeting is proudly sponsored by the Plant Sciences Department of the University of California.

The 2009 Colloquium will be held at the Sacramento Convention Center in Sacramento, California.
