Instructions for Poster Presentations:
All posters will be exhibited for the duration of the Colloquium. Your manuscript number will be your poster number.
Authors please attend your posters at the following times. Your poster will however, be displayed throughout the event:
The Session to which you are scheduled is determined by the session to which you submitted your poster (see program at http://ipnc.ucdavis.edu/html/program.htm for details)
Sessions A and B: August 27th 12:45 - 1:15 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Session C and D: August 27th 6:00-8:00 pm AND August 28th 1:25 - 2:00pm
Session E and F: August 29th 1:10 to 2:00 pm AND August 29th 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Session G and H: August 29th 6:00 - 8:00 pm AND August 30th 1:30 - 2:05
Guidelines for Orals and Poster Preparation
Oral Presentations: Orals presenters will be notified directly by organizers of their selection and presentation details.
- Plenary presentations are a total of 45 minutes including 5 minutes for questions
- Keynote presentations are a total of 30 minutes including 5 minutes for questions
- Regular Oral presentations are a total of 20 minutes including 5 minutes for questions
2009 Poster Session
Poster Presentation Instructions
Posters will be displayed continuously during the conference.
Poster specifications:
Poster presentations are to be a maximum of 114 cm x 114cm (45" x 45") in size.
- Titles, names, and affiliations should be included on the top of the poster.
- A simple sans serif-face font (e.g., Helvetica) should be used.
- Lettering for the title should be at least one inch tall. The authors' names and affiliations may be somewhat smaller.
- Lettering for text and illustrations should range in size between 6 mm and 12 mm.
- Authors are urged to include photographs and local contact information (cellular phone number, email address) to assist in author identification and communication.
- Space will be provided at the poster board for handouts, including the submitted short paper however all documents must be provided by presenter.
Do not prepare a poster as if it were a manuscript. Primarily use tables and figures and limit verbage. Details of the work can be provided in discussions with interested parties. Presenters will receive an assigned space number prior to the conference. Push-pins or Velcro buttons may be used to attach a poster but these items must be supplied by presenter - they will not be available on-site.
